QRS or Quick Release System is a bayonet system from AOI-UW that allows you to easily take your wet lenses on and off during the dive.
>>Housing:
The bayonet can be mounted on to close to any housing with M52 or M67 thread on the port, both Fantasea, Nauticam, Seafrogs, AOI, Olympus and others.
Here we are using it on the Seafrog SO-3/SO-10 for the Olympus TG-6/7 camera. As you can see in the video, we had to remove the small plugs that normally fit into the slot of the port, but as the Seafrogs housing does not have that, we removed them.
There is an extra tool in the Package to screw the bayonet in safely. Turn it clockwise to set it tight. It is recommended to have the white dot in an easily findable location, preferably between 10-12 o’clock. To be aware of where to mount the rest.
>>Lens:
AIS has its new lenses updated with the new QRS system already, but any of the older models can change their adaptor so they fit in the same location. This would require the adaptor to come off by unscrewing with a star screwdriver and changing it accordingly. Again, look at the dot and place it on the same spot to make it easy to attach.
If the shade is not set up straight when the lens is mounted on the camera, there is a couple of small screws to set it up evenly.
>>Extra Features:
Lens holder is an extra system to put it away safely. It can easily be mounted on the arms. The lens holders all has the QRS system.
