Why not spend a week at Marsa Nakari Dive Camp in Egypt, where you’ll have the chance to learn, practice, and explore the Red Sea in a relaxed and inspiring setting. It’s a great opportunity to grow your skills and connect with like-minded uw-photographers.

This workshop isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about developing your skills through hands-on experience. With a combination of personal guidance, group instruction, and plenty of time to explore the underwater world. You’ll return home with improved photography techniques and a network of like-minded uw-photographers.


Your teacher

The trip is led by Lars Kirkegaard / FOTOGRAFIT. Lars is one of Scandinavia’s very experienced photo/videographers, having for many years been an active member of the Scandinavian Underwater Community. He is an educated studio photographer, a TV videographer, and a graphic arts specialist. Lars runs the business FOTOGRAFIT selling uw-photo equipment to the European dive community, but has also taught photography since an early age.

Underwater Photography Workshop

Diving at Nakari

Nakari Dive Camp is the perfect place to improve your underwater photography skills. The house reef is just a short swim from shore, with easy access to coral formations and beautiful marine life.

Unlimited Diving: You can dive as much as you want throughout the day, including night dives, to practice different lighting and composition techniques or focus on your own projects.

For those looking for more adventure, additional diving options include:

  • Dolphin House Reef – A famous site with caves, swim-throughs, and frequent dolphin encounters. (boat dive)
  • Elphinstone Reef – Known for its deep walls and encounters with hammerhead sharks and oceanic whitetips. (boat dive)
  • Coastal truck dives – Visit Abu Dabab and other sites with opportunities to photograph dugongs, turtles, and unique marine landscapes.

Accommodation

Camp Nakari Accommodation

Camp Nakari has retired all regular tents and primarily offer Royal Beduin Tents as the main accommodation type.

The trip includes shared accommodation in Royal Bedouin Tents:

  • Royal Bedouin Tents – Spacious, with additional furnishings like a mini fridge and bean bag chairs. The price for the trip has been based on this accommodation type sharing with a fellow dive buddy or a group member.


    If you´d like to treat yourself with some luxury, you have 2 other accommodation options:
  • Superior Tents – A luxurious tent option with a solid floor, a modern interior, and a large private bathroom. Placed right at the waterfront.
  • Deluxe Chalets – Comfortable rooms with air conditioning, a private terrace, own private bathroom, and a fridge.

    Single/Double?
    All accommodations are based on sharing with your buddy or a group member.
    But it is possible to pay a “Single Supplement” for all solutions and get the tent/room for yourself.

Pricing & Booking process

The price includes flights, unlimited house reef diving, accommodation in Royal Bedouin tent, all meals, and workshop participation. (see detailed list below)

  • Price: €1,875 / 13,999 DKK (shared Royal Bedouin tent)
  • Supplement when upgrading to a Single person a in Royal Beduin Tent: EUR 215

Supplement when upgrading to a Challet/Superior tent.

  • EUR 525 for upgrading to Challet/Superior tent (with a single person)
  • EUR 269 for upgrading to Challet/Superior tent per person (w/ 2 people)

The single supplement is mandatory if you do not book with a partner.
   (if you later find a partner, we deduct the difference)



You do not have to fly with the group from Copenhagen.
You can book you own flights and arrive at the same time or earlier as the main group, you will save 3.700,- DKK (€499).
It is possible to arrive at a different time or even a different day. But note that transfers to the camp will then involve an extra fee.

Bring a friend:
If you wish to bring a friend or spouse who
do not dive, this is possible.
The savings on the basic price will be: 2.360,- DKK (315,- EUR)


PAYMENT DATES:

Deposit: €675 / 5,000 DKK upon registration (final amount: 12/3)

Full payment is required for bookings after March 12, 2025


HOW TO BOOK:

  1. You book your space by sending an email to: workshop@fotografit.eu
  2. You will then be sent a questionnaire that you need to fill out. We will be asking you for your contact details, your dive history, your photo history, and what you hope to achieve by joining the photo trip.
  3. After filling it out you will be sent an invoice with either the deposit 5.000,- DKK (670,- EUR) or the full amount, depending on the date.
    (after March 12th we will ask for the full amount)
  4. After payment of the deposit, your space has been secured, and you will get the final invoice based on your accommodation choice and flight situation. (after March 12, you will be invoices the full amount)

**Flights may have a short technical stop in Billund/Aarhus. We experience many changes to flight routes that are beyond our control. We therefore reserve the right to change the flight route and airport, as well as baggage rules for the flight. If a change occurs, we will work with you to find the best possible solution. We will try to avoid additional costs, but unfortunately cannot guarantee this.
