3-Day Local Underwater Photography Workshop
A practical weekend workshop built around your own camera system, your current level and the images you want to create underwater. Join in Aarhus — or gather a small group and bring the workshop to your local dive area.
The format combines theory, diving, image review and individual feedback over a concentrated weekend.
All levels welcome From first-time underwater photographers to experienced shooters who want to refine technique and workflow.
A workshop built around you
You do not need to fit into a fixed course system. The workshop is adapted to the group, the equipment you use and the areas you want to improve.
Before the course, you have direct contact with Lars so your experience level, equipment and goals are clear before the first session begins.
Two ways to arrange it
- Join a workshop held at FOTOGRAFIT in Aarhus.
- Gather at least four participants and arrange the workshop where you live.
- For groups above eight participants, an assistant can join the workshop.
- When the workshop is booked outside Scandinavia or Northern Germany, a travel fee may apply. This is always discussed and agreed in advance.
From camera setup to finished image
Camera & Light
Exposure, flash technique, ambient light, camera settings and practical equipment setup.
Composition
Planning, subject approach, background control and making stronger images underwater.
Equipment Review
We look at your own housing, optics, strobes, lights and accessories and how to use them effectively.
Image Review
Your images are reviewed during the weekend with concrete feedback you can take into the next dive.
Lightroom Workflow
Introduction to file handling, selection, tagging and practical editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
Individual Coaching
The workshop includes one-to-one guidance so you can concentrate on the areas that matter most to you.

Lars Kirkegaard
Lars has more than 30 years of diving experience and over 25 years with an underwater camera. He began teaching photography at the age of 19 and is educated as a studio photographer, later completing a BSc in Graphic Arts Management at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
His background includes underwater photography, studio photography, dive publications, photo education and the underwater imaging industry. Today he runs FOTOGRAFIT and uses that broad experience to help each participant work on the areas that matter most to them.

Bring Lars to your group
Gather at least four participants and provide a suitable place for the theory sessions. Lars can teach groups of up to eight people before an assistant is required.
When booked outside Scandinavia or Northern Germany, a travel fee may apply. This is discussed and agreed in advance.
Your own dive equipment, underwater camera system and laptop. Camera housing and diving equipment should be tested before the workshop.
Adobe Lightroom Classic is preferred. Alternative software is fine, but some workflow and editing guidance may be more limited.
