About Emil
Emil Poulsen is a 24-year-old Danish nature communicator and nature photographer known for bringing the natural world closer to a broad audience through photography, video and storytelling.
With a strong presence on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and podcast platforms, Emil combines humour, curiosity and substantial nature knowledge to make complex stories about wildlife, ecosystems and biodiversity accessible — especially to younger audiences.
He is also known from DR Ultra, where he has worked as a host and communicator, helping children discover the Danish natural world in an engaging and approachable way.
Emil’s work is driven by a fascination with the remarkable stories found in nature. He uses photography as a tool to show wildlife in its natural surroundings and often focuses on the Danish landscape, biodiversity and the relationship between people and nature.
His communication work has received several awards and recognitions, including titles such as Denmark’s Best Nature Photographer and Denmark’s Best Nature Communicator, as well as a science communication award at Bloom Festival.
Beyond photography and media, Emil is involved in projects that promote nature conservation, sustainability and a better understanding of biodiversity in Denmark.
Underwater photography is an important extension of that work. Emil photographs marine life, wrecks and underwater landscapes with the same focus on curiosity, visual storytelling and conservation.
His ability to make nature accessible, relevant and engaging — both above and below the surface — is exactly what makes him a strong fit as a FOTOGRAFIT ambassador.
